PIOLINK launches entry-level switch targeting small and medium-sized markets

Press Releases        2021-01-28

Reduce network adoption and operational costs… Strengthen IT competitiveness for small and medium enterprises

PIOLINK announced that it will expand small and medium-sized markets by releasing low-end model (CS2200 series) of existing 'TiFRONT Cloud Security Switch'.

This model is a L2 switch that has basic functions, which lowers customer's investment cost. However, the strength of TiFRONT switches and the ability to use 'Ticontroller', a web and cloud-based integrated management system for
easy management, is a big advantage. PIOLINK said that small and medium-sized businesses and institutions can strengthen their IT capabilities with small manpower and cost in line with recent non-face-to-face and digital transformation.

TiController consists of an easy GUI screen and provides a quick, at-a-glance dashboard. It remotely supports the installation of TiFRONT switches and fault response, and also provides visibility to identify network status.

Installation and maintenance can be done in a non-face-to-face manner without visiting an engineer. Because setup information can be uploaded to the cloud in advance, it is automatically downloaded and installed when anyone connects a LAN cable to the switch at any time. This Zero Touch installation function has also been patented. Even if replaced with a new switch, it is convenient to receive existing information backed up in the cloud, and firmware updates can also be automatically carried out with the date and time set by the manager.

And it is possible to respond to disabilities without going to the site. Traditionally, engineers, absolutely had to be out and don't know the cause of the fault. However, TiController not only allows rapid cause identification by ping or traceroute remotely, but also allows us to handle reboots if it is a simple system problem, which is gaining great popularity from engineers and IT managers.

It also shows network visibility at a glance, such as device IP, device type, and traffic usage status associated with the switch. The current state of traffic use also plays an important role in network stability and security management as it can be monitored and analyzed user-based on who, when, where, and how much information has been sent.

The new model 'TiFRONT CS2200 Series' is a total of four models, and PoE+ can be selected for 28 and 54 port equipment respectively. It includes four or six 10-gigabit optical ports, making it suitable for advanced network environments. In addition, STP can be provided as a basis to automatically block traffic loops to prevent service failures caused by traffic overload.

PIOLINK believes that the new switch will help small and medium-sized customers to introduce networks and reduce operating costs, and said it will expand the market with various lineups along with existing cloud security switches and CCTV-only switches.
