Profit surplus for 11 consecutive quarters since the fourth quarter of 2018

PIOLINK, which develops data center-related solutions, announced on the 13th that its operating profit jumped 38% year-on-year to 2.45 billion won in the first half of this year. During the same period, sales rose 18 percent to about 19.9 billion won.

PIOLINK has continued its profit surplus for 11 consecutive quarters since the fourth quarter of 2018, and this year recorded its best performance on a half-year basis.

This was attributed to the increased demand for network infrastructure, security services and the effect of digital new deal policies as data usage continues to grow.

Earlier last month, the company announced that it would enter the Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) market, which integrates computing, network, and storage into a single system. PIOLINK is planning to use HCI as the company's new growth engine.

HCI is a product that integrates the core infrastructure of data center deployment and is considered to be highly efficient to operate, cost-effective, and scalable. Due to the recent digital transformation of companies, high growth is expected as demand for building private and hybrid clouds increases.

A PIOLINK official said, "We expect steady growth in the future as demand for network infrastructure and information security continues and new business areas are opended with the recent launch of new products."
