Newly created PIOLINK ecobag - Hoping to give help for Sri Lankan war refugees

Notice        2021-11-23

With COVID-19, daily recovery is taking place little by little. Although COVID-19 is not completely over, it's grateful that we are gradually returning to normal daily life.

However, do you know that unlike us, there are still many people who have been deprived of their normal daily lives for a long time?

Typical examples are women and children affected by the Sri Lankan Civil War. For 26 years(1983~2009) Sri Lanka suffered from a civil war between a majority of Singhali government forces and Tamil rebels demanding separate independence.

The civil war ended with the surrender of the Tamils, but the damage of the civil war was severe. There were 100,000 casualties, and women and children who lost their husbands and families in the war were forced to face financial difficulties. The problem is that the poverty and pain of those who survived still continue.

Then, is there any way to help them? With this thought in mind, we found 'Neomission's NeoLove Ecobag', the hand-made ecobag made by the victims of the Sri Lankan Civil war.

Neo Mission supports the self-sufficiency of war victims affected by the Sri Lankan Civil War. By building a factory there, they teach sewing technology to locals to produce cheap and high-quality products and support jobs for women. The more people use the NeoLove eco-bag, the more women can get educational opportunities and jobs.

This is how PIOLINK's "Special ecobag" was born. They were made to sponsor the vulnerable in Sri Lanka. With this ecobag project, we wish it could be some help in giving more hope and delight in the lives of Sri Lankan women and children.
