PIOLINK celebrated its 20th year.

Twenty years ago, July 26, 2000.

Dreaming of becoming a leader in application networking technology, seven people from the same school's lab worked together to create the current PIOLINK.

Let's look at the CI that PIOLINK is taking its first step as a company.

From 2000 to the end of 2001, CI, who had been the face of PIOLINK for about two years, looks like the first image below.

The second image has been using CI from 2002 to 2004, the rightmost image since 2005. There is also a long history of 20 years in PIOLINK CI!

What all three CI see (in front of PIOLINK) as birds, is 'birds'!

It's a bird called the albatross, which is higher than any other bird, and it's famous for being far away.

Network and security, and even cloud. It means that PIOLINK will be the best company in my field that is long remembered for its high technology.

It is the first in Korea to launch 'PINKBOX' called road balancer or L4 switch developed with domestic technology. It's a product that's responsible for distributing traffic that's driven to servers, and it has high-performance computations and high-level technologies that require optimal path calculations. He is also a senior at PAS-K, which has been number one in the domestic application delivery controller (ADC) market for years.

PINKBOX was a domestic application switch that proudly appeared under the title of 'First in Korea'. At this time, domestic application network products were a foreign-made market. PAS-K's first appearance (PINKBOX) is like this.

2004;

PIOLINK will set up branches in Japan and China beyond Seoul, Korea.

That means that the influence in Korea has increased. From Japan and China to East Asia and Southeast Asia, the rise of the PIOLINK has begun.

In September of the same year,

Launch PAS, an upgraded application delivery controller with performance and functionality.

L4-L7 switch markets, especially public, financial, and telecommunications customers, have a lot of references.

October 2005,

PIOLINK is moving to the current Gasan Digital Complex.

To be in a more spacious and pleasant place, with more employees.

October 2006,

Launch Web Application Firewall WEBFRONT.

It's a differentiated web application security product that can handle traffic at high speeds by applying application switching technology that has been built up in the L4-L7 market.

2007; 2008

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy is honored to be named the "World's Best Products, World's Best Companies."

It has been selected and awarded as '100 Asia' and 'Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific' by Red Herring and Deloitte in the U.S., respectively, and is recognized as a network company both domestically and abroad, and is able to better promote PIOLINK.

PIOLINK has long developed products in advanced application areas, and as internal network security becomes as important as core networks, it comes up with switches for weak internal network security.

After this consideration, we're launching TiFRONT by adding the value of 'security' to our existing L2/L3 switch.

May 2011

ADC, the flagship product of PIOLINK, is now releasing PAS-K. Satisfy the 'high performance' for handling L4-L7 application traffic and is the best combination of the best available, accelerated, and virtualized technologies of PIOLINK.

It's a great product that has led the domestic ADC market since its launch.

2011; 2012,

It also won the ADC category of "2011 and 2012 Growth Leadership Awards Korea" for the second consecutive year. 

PIOLINK has been recognized as the leader of the domestic ADC market for two consecutive years!

The year 2013

It's a very important day for PIOLINK. In August, it was listed on the KOSDAQ market!

PIOLINK, which has won the domestic network market with its own technology, is a KOSDAQ-listed corporation that can invest more in research and development.

In November 2013, we're launching a faster, higher-performance WEBFRONT-K.

WEBFRONT-K, a high-performance web firewall that handles large-scale traffic stably, won the 'Korea SW Quality Award' in November 2015 by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.

The year of 2014

It became a strategic partner with investments from NHN (www.nhn.com). Through NHN, which pioneered new businesses such as games, e-commerce, and infrastructure business, we decided to create synergy not only through the Korean market but also by entering global infrastructure businesses such as Japan.

Each product office in PIOLINK has partnered with several partners nationwide to create strategic sales by product/region/business.

PIOLINK is working with its partners to enhance quality of service and strengthen its sales network to give customers the best value.

Our relationship with our sales partners, as well as our engineers' technical skills and reliability, is working so hard every year.

October 2015,

The PIOLINK will start the security control service.

Starting with providing remote security control services to various companies such as NHN and its affiliates, it has also aggressively deployed dispatch control services for public institutions, and intelligent remote control projects for financial and general enterprises to secure diverse customer groups.

We also carry out security controls for various cloud infrastructures such as AWS, TOAST, and KT. PIOLINK is a latecomer to the security control market, but it has been on a roll so far with its competitiveness through a variety of customers!

November 2015,

This is when the hot TiFRONT Cloud Security Switch comes into being.

A 'cloud-managed' switch that combines easy operation, greater visibility, and security for IT managers and engineers. Customers can manage all the settings remotely by simply receiving the switch they sent and plugging in the wire.

It's a switch that engineers don't need to visit, so it's a product that the untact era wants, right?

December 2016,

To provide reliable, nondisruptive network services, we also launch TiFRONT backbone switches.

With the launch of Backbone Switch, PIOLINK will have a full line-up of products from Layer2 to Layer7.

And the following year, April 2018,

We're also starting an information protection consulting service.

This makes it a company that provides 'integrated security services' to security controls, security consulting, and security solutions. Security consulting services include ISMS-P, ISO27001, etc. In particular, 20 out of 42 senior hospitals subject to information protection management system certification are consulting on ISMS certification, and they also have the largest share of ISMS certification consulting in the medical field. We provide services such as cloud security consulting as well as FinTech security consulting as the IT infrastructure market changes.

In addition to the security consulting of the expert group, PIOLINK has grown into a competitive security company that provides customized information protection services based on differentiated security control services and security solutions.

And in August 2018,

Release the TiFRONT CCTV only switch. This product is specialized in network security and IP camera password management, and it is an industrial switch that increases security of CCTV camera network. TiFRONT is expanding its market by adding the security features required by tightly connected smart cities and smart factory environments.

September 2019,

CEO Cho Young-chul of PIOLINK will receive the Information Security Industry Packing Award.

In recognition of his contribution to the development of security technology and the vitalization of the industry, he was eligible as a recipient of information service. CEO Cho Young-chul has been focusing on developing domestic security technologies and localization of products since 2000, when he was the first director of PIOLINK's research institute, and has contributed to safe web services, protection of information assets, and industrial growth.

"The goal is to optimize customers' business with products and services on network and security for the cloud," said Cho Young-chul, CEO of PIOLINK, marking the 20th anniversary of its foundation.
