Completed Strategic Investment (SI) Late Last Year… Commences Joint Development of Next-Generation 'AI Agent-Based CTEM'
Shifting the Paradigm to an Autonomous Response System That Fends Off Threats on Its Own, Even Without Security Experts

PIOLINK (CEO Young-Chul Cho) announced that it is deepening its collaboration with VICSTechnology (CEO In-seok Kim), an AI platform specializing company, to develop next-generation security solutions.
This move is aimed at fully integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology across its security services and expanding its presence in the global market.
On December 23 of last year, PIOLINK made a strategic investment (SI) in VICSTechnology, highly valuing its technological prowess. Starting from this point, the company is taking concrete steps to preempt the intelligent security market.
The investment target, VICSTechnology, is an 'Agentic AI' startup founded in 2023. Moving beyond the level of simple conversational chatbots, its core competency lies in technology that allows AI to autonomously understand goals and complete complex tasks.
VICSTechnology’s flagship solution, 'AgentWorks,' is an enterprise-wide corporate AI workspace that fundamentally blocks the threat of 'Shadow AI,' where critical corporate information is leaked due to the indiscriminate use of external AI.
Having already gained recognition for its technology in the Japanese market, it successfully entered the public sector by registering for public procurement in February of this year, proving both its security and productivity.
The goal of this collaboration between the two companies is the development of a next-generation autonomous security threat management platform: 'AI Agent-based Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM)'.
This is a strategy to respond swiftly as the impact of the latest AI models, such as Anthropic’s Claude Mythos, grows in the security industry.
Whereas existing security systems rely on human judgment to 'respond' after 'detecting' a threat, AI Agent-based CTEM aims for 'fully autonomous executable security threat management,' where AI autonomously identifies threats,
understands the attack context, and completes everything from defense planning to automatic remediation.
PIOLINK plans to actively integrate the Agentic AI technology possessed by VICSTechnology into its own security products and services.
First, the ultimate goal is to shift the paradigm of the autonomous security threat management market from existing security monitoring bound by fixed rules to a system where AI defends itself 24/7 without rest.
Furthermore, the company plans to increase its dominance in the global cyber resilience market by combining security AI models with its network infrastructure business, which is showing strong growth in global markets such as Japan and Southeast Asia.
Young-Chul Cho, CEO of PIOLINK, stated, "In the face of sophisticated cyber threats, fragmentary defense alone has its limits,
and securing cyber resilience—where the system withstands and recovers quickly on its own—is essential." He added, "By combining the latest AI technology,
we will reduce dependency on human resources and leap forward as a leading global security AI company."
In-seok Kim, CEO of VICSTechnology, said, "Our Agentic AI technology has met PIOLINK's solid security capabilities to create the best synergy.
"He conveyed, "We will play a core role in completing an autonomous security paradigm where companies can autonomously respond to and innovate against security threats."
